The Remember Pulse: 49 Days of Action Campaign as part of #HonorThemWithAction will be providing 49 action ideas over the course of 7 weeks in honor of each of the lives taken at Pulse Nightclub one year ago. Every Monday we will provide you with a list of 7 actions you can take for that week. They will include ways to reflect on Pulse but will also highlight ways to take action on the platform issues of the Equality March for Unity and Pride: Biphobia, Disability Rights, Elder Rights, Faith & Religion, HIV/AIDS, Immigration Justice, Indigenous/Two Spirit, Income Inequality, International, Legislative Issues, Racial Justice, Reproductive Justice, Transphobia, Violence, Youth. We hope that your actions each week will help to grow this movement as we take on actions in later weeks and we encourage you to share this campaign and your actions with your email and social media network:

WEEK SIX ACTIONS… (click here for Past Actions)

Day 36 | Monday, July 17, 2017

Senate leadership have delayed the vote on the TrumpCare bill once more. It is important that today you take 2 minutes today to text “RESIST” to 50409 and urge your Senators to stop Trumpcare from coming up for a vote ever! This text will spur a fax to go to your lawmakers based on the area code in your phone. It’s a quick, yet effective way to make your voice heard. You can also use this Planned Parenthood call tool to contact your US Senators to stop the defunding of Planned Parenthood through legislative actions.

Day 37 | Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Today, the Texas legislature opens for a one month special session that will target some of the state’s most vulnerable populations. Governor Abbott’s special session agenda includes gutting planned parenthood and unions, slashing voting rights, and passing a NC HB2 style anti-trans bathroom bill. Please share this link with all of your friends and family that live in Texas to demand their lawmakers vote no on this agenda of hate.

Day 38 | Wednesday, July 19, 2017

Our friends in Massachusetts recently updated their state law to protect transgender people in public spaces like hospitals or businesses. However, we know there is still opposition to trans rights that their opponents are exploiting — making these protections vulnerable everywhere. The good news is that when we talk to people about what these laws really do, we increase support dramatically. We need you to join NEAT nationwide to make calls from home to talk with folks in Massachusetts about why these protections matter and build the momentum we need to push back.

Day 39 | Thursday, July 20, 2017

CAIR’s civil rights department counsels, mediates and advocates on behalf of Muslims and others who have experienced religious discrimination, defamation or hate crimes. CAIR has developed a new app that will allow you to find out what rights you have when getting pulled over, arrested, or if you find law enforcement at your door! Download this app and share with your friends so that your loved ones know their rights.

Day 40 | Friday, July 21, 2017

SAGE, the National LGBTQ Task Force, and their allies have forced the Trump Administration to reverse course on eliminating all LGBTQ elders from a national aging survey that determines funding for elder services. They now say they will include lesbian, gay and bisexual elders, BUT NOT TRANS ELDERS. Please let Trump’s administration know that this is unacceptable. ALL LGBTQ elders need to be included. We have only until July 24 to let the administration know how we feel about this. Please sign the petition and share it with your loved ones to sign as well.

Day 41 | Saturday, July 22, 2017

Faith leaders across Texas as well as other states are pushing back against the immoral laws being passed that ban sanctuary cities – local protections for undocumented immigrant people and families. Please read and share this articleabout some of the challenges and trauma caused by these laws and join the fight to push back against these policies in your state and local governments.

Day 42 | Sunday, July 23, 2017
